I want to do an update post where I get into Reshade later down the line. Go to Documents\WB Games\Batman Arkham City\BMGame\Config, open the bmengine.ini file with Notepad, and under the section near the bottom, edit DepthOfField=True to DepthOfField=False.Īnyway that is how I kind of remastered my own Return to Arkham Origins. I always found that the snow looked less like a blizzard and more like, fog? So this clears it up! Check out this imgur album from a reddit post to see how good it looks You can also edit presets to your taste! I just don't like creating presets from scratch.Īnother acquired taste, but disabling depth of field is a great way to clear up the game as well. I also like to add a bit more blue and vibrance to help it match the majority of the games. Personally, I think this game has quite muddy textures, so on-top of the texture mod I also like to use a SweetFX preset with a sharpening effect to further improve them. Otherwise, use SweetFX to change the colors of the game. This one is definitely not everyone's cup of tea, especially if you like the color palette of the game. These textures improve most of the general textures in Arkham Origins (there's also other ones he listed such as interface mods and villain texture mods that you can check out, but I like to stick to generally similar textures)

exe and automates the Texmod process, it is called EasyTexMod. So I did some digging and found one that creates a shortcut of the game's.

BUT I didn't want to have to plug in the textures manually every time I had to launch the game. Arkham games run on Unreal Engine so they use Texmod.

Arkham City is one of those games that gives me goosebumps. Okay so first I started out with the worst one - Textures. Overwall, Arkham Asylum is still an example of a no nonsense game that's fun to both experience it's world and story, and picking up all the Riddler collectibles isn't too much of a pain as it would later become in the series. Perfect to get the game ready when Christmas Eve comes around. So here's the way I remastered it myself, it was really, really fun. However, I often get a little OCD about the fact that it didn't get a "remaster" like the big 3 did.
